Representative and Landscape Textiles Gallery

As I became more fascinated with traditional painting and techniques other than oil on canvas, many of my textiles turned into "whole cloth" pieces. "Whole cloth" is a quilt term which once meant a single color, decoratively quilted. It has come to signify quilted art which is a single piece of fabric, painted and quilted as the image requires. Obviously, there are many ways to include representational images in quilted textiles, including collaging them. I have called some of my gridded, collaged pieces "representational" because they come out of strong real-world imagery, often computer-manipulated and printed photographs.
